AC/DC Power Supplies feature their own internal EMI Filters, sometimes, the systems power generate more electrical noise than the internal filter can handle on its own. Separate power filters are useful in these situations to bring the noise down to acceptable levels. DC EMI filters help to combat interference in such applications.
